Breaking contact during a Reiki Treatment

What happens if I have to break contact with a client in the middle of a treatment?
Whenever possible you should try to avoid this. However, there are times when it cannot be avoided. If this is the case, the following procedure can be used: Set your intent that the Reiki energy will continue to work on your client. If you have done your Second Degree, you could set up an absentee healing on your client whilst you are away. Inform your client that you will be back as soon as possible and that they should simply relax and continue to enjoy the treatment. On your return, give yourself a moment to re-attune yourself to the energy before proceeding with the treatment and let your client know that you are resuming. If you have taken Second Degree, you may wish to use the first symbol over your client before continuing the treatment. We need your support...
