Reiki Cleansing Period |
On completing Reiki training, and because of the energy you have come into contact with, you will find you go through a cleansing period. A cleansing period normally lasts for 21-28 days and during this time it is not uncommon for you to experience symptoms like: headaches, flu-like symptoms, experience mood changes, unusual dreams and other emotional, physical and/or mental changes. This process is perfectly normally and it is simply getting your body to deal with the release of toxins in your body as well as any emotions or feelings that you no longer need to hold on to.
To help you through this period and to declutter your issues you are asked to do a daily one hour self-treatment. One hour can be a large chunk of time you are suddenly asked to find during the day to do your treatment, but it is a worthwhile period to try to locate in your day. Wherever possible one hour's self treatment should be done, however, if there is an occasion when the hour is difficult to fit in, try to break it up into two half hour blocks. This could be in the morning on waking and at night before you go to sleep. However, a word to the wise, try to not do a whole hour before you go to sleep at night because it will put you to sleep by the time you get down to the solar plexus! The self-treatment can be done sat up in a comfortable position or lying down. During this period also try to:
Once you have completed the cleansing period you should find that you are on a much more healthier, happier path and prepared to move onto your next stage of development.
