Client can not feel Reiki?

If the client says that they are experiencing nothing during a treatment, does this mean the energy is not working?
Reiki works on a subtle energetic level and some clients are unable to experience it at a conscious level. This does not mean that the energy is not working. However, it is very unusual for a client receiving a full Reiki treatment not to feel relaxed. Remember the energy can go to either the mental, emotional or spiritual side of a person, not just the physical. So if a person is having a treatment for an injury or ache and they don't get relief, they may feel that the energy hasn't worked. However, because they focused solely on the physical, they may not have realised that a problem that they had been mulling over has suddenly presented an answer. Was the person developing their physical ailment because of that mental problem? It can be amazing how quickly the physical ailment disappears after a mental issue has been resolved sometimes. Perhaps the important point to note here is that it is important for neither the practitioner nor the client to get too attached to the outcome of a treatment. You are simply there to make the energy available to them. It is their system that determines how receptive they will be to Reiki and how they will experience the energy.
