Why do we turn a person over in a Reiki treatment? |
Reiki 1 teaches hand positions for treating another person. The student is shown how to treat the front of the body and then turns the client over to treat the back of the body. This procedure is taught for a number of reasons:
After learning Reiki 2 onwards however, it isn't always necessary to turn a person over in their treatment unless the practitioner feels they need to. Reiki 2 asks for the student to call on their instincts and to go with their intuition more in terms of what hand positions they feel the client needs but still being able to go back to the standard treatment any time they want to.
